The 4 C's

Communication, Creativity, Collaboration and Critical Thinking

As educational institutions and corporations begin placing more emphasis on preparing students for success in the 21st century, the tools and techniques required continue to evolve. The curriculum used to prepare students in the previous generation is no longer effective in today's competitive employment market. The National Education Association published Preparing 21st Century Students for a Global Society: An Educator's Guide to the "Four Cs."
This guide helps introduce this framework to educators so they can begin to incorporate 21st-century education into classroom practice.
More information on the Four C's is also available by visiting the Partnership for 21st Century Learning. P21's Framework for 21st Century Learning was developed with input from educational experts, teachers, and business leaders. It served as a comprehensive model for equipping students with the skills to complete the new global economy of the 21st century.
Erticulate is committed to creating an environment where all students can get exposure to these critical skill-building techniques in their educational journey.

Communication

Glossophobia is holding students back from communicating well while holding down their confidence. Estimates are that 75% of children have glossophobia. Erticulate's platform will significantly reduce that percentage. Students making time to practice and seeing themselves delivering a presentation before having to get up in front of the class builds confidence. Receiving and providing feedback in an academically proven structured format builds confidence and improves communications. Get involved to get your students engaged!

Creativity

The best presentations require inventiveness. Sir Kenneth Robinson, a leading thinker and speaker on creativity, said, "Creativity is as important in education as literacy, and we should treat it with the same status." Creativity enabled by a feedback loop is exponentially powerful.

Collaboration

Nurture more positive connections through collaboration on Erticulate. Teachers and fellow students can review and provide feedback at ease, to inspire students. The platform will nurture in students how to give feedback to others, an essential leadership skill.

Critical Thinking

Critical thinking has long been a valued skill in society. Today, every student — not just the academically advanced — needs it.When creating a presentation, practicing the performance, and incorporating feedback from mentors, students will develop exceptional critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
